Delete your PinSpree account and associated data
You can request deletion from the web without installing or reinstalling PinSpree or signing into the app, including if you originally signed in with Google or Apple.
Request PinSpree account deletion
If your device does not open an email app, copy team@pinspree.com into any email service and use the subject PinSpree account deletion.
PinSpree's owner, AP, receives and monitors this address for account-deletion and safety requests.
What to include
- Your PinSpree username and account email, if known, and a clear request to delete your account and associated data.
- Preferably send the request from the address associated with your account. For Google or Apple accounts, identify the sign-in provider and known account or relay email.
- If you cannot access that email, say so. AP will need to verify account ownership through an appropriate alternative before deleting the account.
Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, access tokens, payment information or identity documents with your initial request. You do not need to sign into or install the app to submit a request.
Who handles your request
AP is responsible for reviewing your request, verifying ownership, carrying out deletion and telling you the outcome. Verification protects users against someone else requesting deletion of their account. Sending an email starts a request; it does not itself delete the account.
AP must explain any additional verification needed and any unresolved cleanup, and confirm completion or the specific data retained and why. No fixed response or completion time is promised on this page; applicable legal deadlines still apply.
What is deleted
Account deletion permanently removes your PinSpree account, its sign-in and profile information, and associated primary-database records. These include:
- Pins you created, plans and circles you own, authored guides and their associated links.
- Memberships, follows, friend requests, likes, saves, notifications, availability, device tokens and referral associations tied to your account.
- Your plan location, check-in and emergency-contact records, policy acceptances and blocks, and reports you submitted or reports about your removed account/content.
- Your PinSpree-hosted avatar and pin-image uploads, including replaced or unattached uploads identified as yours, through separate uploaded-file cleanup.
Sign-in access ends when the account is removed from the primary database. Uploaded-file cleanup can remain pending if storage is unavailable; the service keeps a deletion job and retries. Account removal alone is not confirmation that all uploaded files or provider copies have been erased. AP must check outstanding cleanup before confirming the request is complete.
Deletion is permanent, not temporary deactivation. Content shared with other people can be affected. Copies other users have independently saved or shared cannot be recalled from their devices or external services. Deleting PinSpree does not delete your Google or Apple account.
Limited retention and provider copies
Some information may need to be retained for a legal preservation or reporting requirement, security or fraud prevention, or a documented dispute. Any such exception must be limited to necessary information and purpose, and AP must explain the affected data and why it is retained. This is not a claim that an automatic legal-hold or external-reporting system exists, or that all safety reports are routinely retained after account deletion.
As checked September 28, 2026, Azure PostgreSQL backups have a seven-day rolling retention setting and Azure Container Apps logs have a 30-day retention setting. These settings are not a complete account-deletion deadline. Existing backups are not selectively erased by account deletion; applicable completed deletions must be reapplied if a backup is restored. This restore handling is an operator responsibility, not a claim of verified automation.
A cleanup job remains until uploaded-file cleanup succeeds. AP must check relevant service-provider cleanup separately and explain unresolved copies or necessary exceptions rather than treating account removal as complete deletion. No exact Vercel, Google or Apple retention period is asserted. See the PinSpree Privacy Policy for data categories and service providers.
Optional in-app path
In Android versions with the account-deletion control, open Settings → Privacy → Delete Account and confirm. Available screens may differ by app version. This is an alternative to the email request above, not a requirement to use it.
